Weekend Recap!

I had quite the busy weekend and need a little bit of recovery time from constantly being on the go!

Friday I had two photo sessions. One for the precious Amelia Claire, and the other for my beautiful pregnant friend Kristy.
Isnt she just precious?She looks awesome for being with child! Dont yall think!?

That night we hung out with my parents and ate homemade buffalo chicken pizza. YUM! Then went to bed before 10! haha! We are so lame!

Saturday it rained all day long, but we were still busy. That night Brad took me out for our first date since Keating has been born. We went and indulged at PF Changs and it was delish!

Sunday was my awesome little sister's birthday. I still cant believe she is 22! She graduates in May and has a real "big girl job". Keating and I went to UGA with my parents to eat lunch with her for her birthday. It was a little surreal pushing a baby stroller down the sidewalks of Athens. When we got home we went and met up with Brad at the Taste of Marietta where he was working. There we were surrounded by INCREDIBLE food and even better people watching! I was a very happy camper!

A little nudity!

Not me... my shoes!!!!
I finally found these beauties on Macys.com! I just wanted to tell yall how much I adore them! I think every girl needs a pair of nude pumps. They are also pretty comfortable, and Im a wimp when it comes to shoes! With two gift cards, I got them for $9 out of pocket! Not so bad!

My other recommendation/ newest obsession is...The Vampire Diaries book series. I know what you're thinking "I dont know if I can handle anymore vampire stuff..." Well you're missing out! The books are great and came out way before Twilight... I think Stephenie Meyer even "borrowed" a few ideas in writing Edward's character. Plus, these have way more action!

And, if you like that, then you should check out the show. Whats more fun than a vampire this yummy'!?


and... this post is being cut short thanks to keating who just leaked pee on me out of his diaper... Awesome!

2 Months!

Wow, I cant believe that I have already been a mom for 2 months! Thankfully, I am not feeling as overwhelmed as I was in the beginning. We have gotten into a nice rhythm.

Thank you to everyone who gave their sleeping suggestions. As for a little update, Keating had one night where he slept 8.5 hours. It was heavenly! Brad and I woke up and thought something happened to him! It was the longest I had slept since getting pregnant last summer, but it didnt last long... That night was an accident and he has made sure not to slip up again! On most nights, he has stretches of about 6-7 hours, which is great. Then he eats and sleeps until 6 or 7. He's just a hungry boy!

Baby Wise helped us to get on a great schedule and that schedule has made all the difference in the world. He isnt as fussy during the day, his afternoon meltdown is only a little bit of fussing now (sometimes he sleeps right through it) and he isnt wanting to snack at his "Momma's All Night Diner" anymore. He eats and goes straight back to sleep. Good boy!

2 months with Lola!

Weight: 10lbs 6 oz Length 22.5 inches.
He is 25% for his age. Still a lil' guy but growing so fast!
He has finally gotten rid of his "Dr. Phil" hair. The front is growing in white blonde.
His clothes are anywhere from newborn size in Gap to 6 months in Polo... baby clothes are so weird!

A month makes a HUGE difference!

See, normally I would just call her to tell her this... but...

She and her husband are missionaries in Romania... so a phone call would be quite pricey!

Alli and I go way back... all the way to the 7th grade. Sadly I have thousands of photos on film that arent on the computer... so these more recent ones will have to suffice!

I miss her OH SO MUCH!

Keating's weekend recap!

This weekend the weather was GORGEOUS! We enjoyed lots of fun time, and of course I made Keating pose for photos that he will one day be embarrassed of! Oh well, that's what mom's are for!
I remember my mom there with a camera numerous times to capture humiliating moments and I turned out just fine!
**cough cough**, like when I got off of the big yellow SCHOOL BUS in 9th grade and she had a video camera and laughed at me because she MADE me take the bus! How heartless is that!?

By the way mom, I dont hold a grudge about that at allllll....

(In case you are wondering, that is the only day I took the bus... when she saw a dude that looked 30 with a mohawk on the same bus, she quickly changed her mind and said she would pick me up at school instead. )


Anyways, back to our weekend.

How I Dread... The Shred!

I am on day 2 of the 30 day shred, and today I loathe Jillian Michaels more than I did yesterday! I havent had a tough workout since before I found out I was pregnant......umm..... last May. Sad! Lets just say that day 1 of Shredding about KILLED me... and I didnt even use hand weights! My 5lb weights were too heavy, Instead I used water bottles! How pathetic!

I will look like this in 30 days... HAHAHAHA!
BUT Im getting back on the wagon and hoping to look good in all of my Spring time dresses.

Speaking of dresses... I am debating this number from my favorite cheap dress website Chadwicks.
I wanted it in Navy, but navy is sold out. Funny thing is I used to hate navy... now I just love it!

Apparently I am a good singer...

because Keating cries every time I stop...

And I ASSURE you... I am not a good singer! He is quite the fan of Michael Buble, The Sound of Music, and anything else I can remember the words to!

He is particularly a fan of "Chickety China the Chinese Chicken"

I really wish everyone could see how ridiculous I look right about now!

Spring has sprung!

Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my post about baby wise and getting keating to sleep. I read back over my post and it sounded a little selfish so I wanted to clarify.

I dont mind getting up with K at night. I knew becoming a mother would result in a loss of sleep and I am okay with that. But he does need to know how to soothe himself to sleep on his own when he wakes up at night. It got to the point that every time he cried he would only be comforted by nursing. I couldnt just sit around all day and night with my boobs hanging out for him to latch on! :)

Yesterday we started our 3 hour eat schedule at 7 am and I think it went really well. His first nap in his crib he cried but I went in every 3-5 min to let him know that I was there. I picked him up to help him calm down and then put him back in his bed. After the 3rd time, he fell asleep on his own. For two other naps he went down easily on his own.

Last night I let him sleep in his swing in our room again. I wanted to ease the transition to his crib. He slept pretty well. Fell asleep at 8 and I woke up up at 10 to eat, then he didnt wake again until 3:30 to eat again. Hungry boy! He woke up one other time and I shushed him back to sleep. It was much better than him screaming and only sleeping in bed with me.

Today we are back on it and hopefully sleeping in the crib tonight! We will see how it goes!
