Freaky Friday Ghost Story!

Welcome to Freaky Friday!

While driving in to work this morning, I was listening to a local radio station. They had on the Georgia Ghost Hunters to tell stories about paranormal activity that they have witnessed around town. I always think these stories are SO interesting. Im not sure if I believe them, but they are fun to listen to. We did our attempt of a ghost tour in my hometown, but the scariest thing we saw was our tour guide... thats another story.

All of the freaky talk reminded me of a story that I have, that happened to someone I know.

My aunt's sister in law (if that makes sense) was on a road trip on her way to Texas. She was driving on a long causeway, when a car in front of her jack knifed the trailer it was hauling. The car did a 180 and ended up facing her, with the trailer hanging over the edge of the bridge.

Miraculously, no one was injured. They stopped to help the driver and make sure that everyone was okay. Here is a photo of the car.

She saw someone in the passenger seat and asked the driver if the woman was okay since she wasnt getting out of the car. The man seemed completely blown away, but answered "I was driving by myself."

When I zoomed in the photo of the car, I saw this in the front seat. You may or may not see the same thing as I do... but I see the silhouette of a body. It even blocks the light from the back passenger window. I see dark eye spots, what looks to be a nose, and even a shoulder.

Do you see it?
Call me crazy, but I see it. Everyone I showed the photo to in real life sees it too.

There's my paranormal halloween story.

Lola wanted to tell everyone Happy Halloween! She will be dressed as Where's Waldo tomorrow. She hates the hat I made her, but is quite fond of her striped sweater!

Knocked Up Honesty: Boobs 101

Warning:: This post may be TMI for some of my readers... *cough cough* you know who you are!

There was a day, when I was obsessed with having bigger boobs. In high school my BFF and I would wear two bras so that we had better cleavage. (I know, how sad that we were worried about that in high school!) But our little trick worked and it made us feel cool. Dont judge!

Sadly, she passed me up in that department shortly after we graduated. I hated her for it.
Not really... okay really!

My desire for bigger boobs did not go away though. I was the least well endowed in my family. I thought I was a genetic fluke or something. My mom kept telling me "wait until you have kids, they will come!" I thought that was some sort of motherly advice like "you're beautiful the way you are!"

Well, low and behold! I have boobs and they're out of CONTROL! My right one could possibly have its own zip code! They pour out of my shirts that previously were not "boob shirts." I'm liking the new additions, but sometimes its just nuts!

When I first got pregnant I went out and bought 3 new bras so that I would have a little more room. Well those beauties are now being put to rest... After arriving at work this morning I felt claustrophobic and I couldnt figure out why? Ever have that feeling? Like you just cant breathe for some reason? Well, it turns out that my lady friends needed more room. Im embarassed to say, I unhooked my bra at 7:45 Am! How sad! But I feel so much better!

Is this a normal occurrence for having big boobs? Is this the consequence of my years of wishing to be better endowed? Can a better bra help my situation? Ladies with big tatas, I need your advice!

Recap: St Joseph and the weekend

Last week St Joseph found a new home in my front flower bed! I wrapped him in a snack sized ziploc, placed him head first facing the street (what I was instructed to do), and covered him with soil. On Friday I got a call from my realtor that we had a second showing that afternoon! WOO HOO!

I RUSHED home to get the house ready. No matter how clean your house is, its never clean enough for someone who is looking to buy it. never.

Selling a house is a HUGE PITA, but thats another story.

Well, our house has seriously never been cleaner, and I guess it paid off. The realtor said she loves the house and she will let us know this week if she is going to make an offer!

PLEASE!

If you have 2 seconds to spare, please pray we get an offer on our house! Por Favor! I'll owe you!

As for a weekend recap...

Friday: Went to dinner with the hubs, came home and started season 2 of The Office. Im really not sure how Ive never followed that show... because its FREAKING HILARIOUS! We are currently working our way through the seasons. Jim makes me laugh until I cry!

Saturday: I woke up early to paint a mural on a little girls wall. She was pretty happy with her "bun buns"
Afterwards, we went to help serve food at a local boys camp for our church's love loud weekend. It turned out to be a gorgeous fall day and we had lots of fun at the camp!

Sunday: We went to church, I went to a local fall festival, and then went to attempt to spend my Macy's gift card... AGAIN.

I hate when I have money to spend but cant find a thing to spend it on. Im looking for a pair of riding type boots, in a rich cognac brown color. Any suggestions??

I came home to watch Transformers with B. I love Josh Duhamel, so I couldnt refuse!

I mean, Whats NOT to love about that man!?

I hope everyone else had a great weekend!!

Stay tuned for an exciting announcement later in the week!!!

Boston Part 2- more details

In my first post, I didnt exactly give much detail to what we did while in Boston. So this post, I will fill yall in on the details.

We flew into Boston on Wednesday and were greated by sunny yet chilly weather. We took the sub (The T) to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. FYI Id recommend a cab because its pretty cheap and a lot less hassle.

After checking in, we decided to walk around, and just site see. We ate lunch at a pub called Kennedy's that was okay... but we were starving and didnt care! After lunch we did lots more walking and saw the Old North Church and parts of the Freedom trail... such as Paul Revere's house. In case you have never been to Boston, Paul Revere is like, THE MAN in Boston!

After 5 miles of walking (really, my mom was wearing a pedometer!) we decided to head over to Little Italy and check it out! We stopped by the famous Mikes Pastry for cookies and coffee, and to see what the hooplah was all about. Well, Mike knows his Pastry because it was delicious and worth waiting in the line that was out the door! We found a cozy warm pub to relax in for an hour before dinner. Dont worry... I was only sipping shirley temples!

We then ate dinner at a DELICIOUS mediterranean style Italian restaurant named Trattoria something or other. It was divine! After dinner we made a stop at another pastry shop Modern Pastry.

Yes, I ate like a fat kid and loved every minute of it!

Thursday, we decided that 7.5 total miles of walking was enough for one trip, so we decided to catch the trolley to see the remainder of the Freedom trail and other sites.
The trolley was a FAB idea!

We saw everything... Fenway park, old cemeteries, beautiful churches, and the old battleship The Constitution. Let me tell you that my mom and I just loooovvvvveeed this part... SIKE! (I bet you havent heard anyone use that word in a long time!)

My dad has a thing for old smelly battleships, and I have seen a ton of them in my day. Lucky for him B thinks they are just as sweet so he had a touring buddy. My mom and I were freezing an annoyed that we had to see, yet again, another old battleship. But we were troopers and did it for them.

For dinner we headed to the Union Oyster House. The wait was about 1.5 hours to get a table, but we waited and watched clips of balloon boy on TV until our name was called. Honestly, the food was okay... Ive had better seafood. But it was just one of those spots that you have to eat at when you go to Boston.

Friday we woke up really early and set off to see the cape. It was a HORRIBLE day to go to the cape. It was freezing cold, and raining, even showing in some parts of Boston. Apparently the cape also closes up for the winter and nothing was open.

We drove to Province Town, did a u turn and headed back towards Boston. We made a stop at a vineyard and the cute town of Chatham before we wheeled out of there though. Im sure the cape is much prettier during the summer. Maybe next time we will check out Nantucket or Martha's vineyard instead.

That night we ate dinner at the Bell in Hand pub. They had delicious mac n cheese, so I was very happy!

Saturday we were leaving, so we woke up early to see a few more things before we left. We strolled through the Boston Public garden, ate lunch at Cheers, and went to see Harvard (because you just have to). All of which were great. Harvard is gorgeous and so is the public garden.

Sadly, thats where our trip ends. We hopped on an airplane back to Atlanta. When coming into the Atlanta airport our pilot aborted the landing... so that was kind of scary. He blamed it on another plane still being on the runway... but I have my doubts.

Anyways, here are some more pics!

Norm and me, chillin' at Cheers!

Across from the Boston Public Garden (Christmas card picture? Maybe!)
Enjoying the fall leaves!

More fall leaves!

A lovely stroll through the park

REALLY strong winds on the cape!
My mom's hair looked hot after the wind storm!

Waiting for our trolley to pick us up

Waiting outside the cigar shop since the inside was smoke infested.

Taking care of the wild life in the park. Im pretty sure this squirrel had done this a few times!

THE END!

22 weeks! 18 to go!

* How far along?: 22 weeks
* Total weight gain: About 6 pounds.
* How big is baby?: He is about 8-10 inches. The fruit is supposed to be a papaya, but papaya is hard to find right now, so we improvised with a spaghetti squash. Its more seasonal that way anyways!
* Sex: BOY!!!!
* Maternity clothes?: Yesterday I scored all of my friend Michelle's maternity clothes! I feel like I have a brand new wardrobe!
* Stretch marks?: no
* Sleep?: Fine. I'm actually ready for time change this year because I hate waking up when its dark outside.
* Best moment this week? People telling me that Im finally starting to show!
* Movement?: oh yeah!
* Food cravings?: Cherry coke, but Im trying to be good and avoid it!
* Labor signs?: n/a
* Belly button in or out?: Still in
* What I miss: Putting on whatever I feel like when getting dressed. Being pregnant takes more work to see what actually fits!
* What I'm looking forward to: for the first stranger to realize I am pregnant. I might buy them a prize!
* Words of Wisdom: Once again, I cant think of anything wise!
* Milestone: Keating's first airplane ride and trip to Boston. I could tell he really loved Boston... well he at least loved the food. He was crazy busy in there!

Hello vampire lovah!

Last night while buying grits at the grocery store, I scanned the magazine rack like I usually do while I'm waiting. I had to catch my breath when I saw the special issue of People devoted to New Moon.
I even held up the line as I was drooling over the photos... seriously.

In the express line, people dont appreciate having to wait!

With the release of New Moon being only 30 days away (I know Im not the only one who is counting...) I thought I would give yall a little preview of the deliciousness that lies ahead. =)

The make up in this movie is so much more believable than Twilight. Im so glad, because this is the gorgeous Edward I imagined while reading the book!

I dont even want to get started on this one! Steamy!!!

Im totally team Edward, but Jacob is looking pretty good in this movie!

Vampire Perfection!

I think Im going to reread the book again before going to see the movie. Missy we're still on right?? I cant look like a loser going to see it by myself!!

Say hello to my little friend!

So as of last month... our house has been on the market for over a year. We have had lots of lookers, a couple of bites, but no offers. I posted on facebook that I was cleaning my house for the millionth showing and that I hoped it sold soon. People started telling me that I needed to bury a St Joseph in my yard.

Well, we're Baptist, so I didnt even know what a St Joseph was or why he would want to be buried in my yard. After doing a little research with my catholic family I found out the scoop.

Apparently burying a St Joseph figurine in your yard will help to sell your house faster. People swear by it, my own family even. Now, why they are waiting a whole year to tell me this little secret... I have no idea! But I went out and purchased my very own St Joseph today. He is being buried promptly after work. People that viewed our house yesterday seem really interested, so who knows, maybe it will work! I have faith!

Please say a prayer our house sells!

I will keep yall posted on St Joseph!

Boston Part 1

Well, we had an amazing time in Boston! For those that have never have been, I HIGHLY recommend it. Its such a great town with awesome sights, friendly people and great food! The weather was pretty chilly, much cooler than the Georgia fall weather that we had become accustomed to before we left. I had to buy gloves when I got there, because it never crossed my mind to bring any!

Here is a hodge podge of photos.

In front of Fenway Park

My dad and B making friends with the firemen so that they could use their bathroom. The firemen were nice and obliged.

In front of a pretty church that I cant remember the name of

Fountain next to the North Church. I liked the leaves in the background.

Trying to keep warm with our coffee from Mike's Pastry. Yum!

A memorial of dog tags for all of those killed serving in The Iraqi War. It really puts it into perspective.

A pub decorated for fall. They all had pumpkins and mums out front, my fall favorites!

A pretty statue in the Boston Public Garden

If I lived in Boston, I would never move... because this is how you have to do it. With a crane, out the window! Wow!
