MrsSouthernBelle = Lame this week!

Sorry I havent been blogging much. Maybe it is a lack of exciting things in my life? Maybe I should spice it up some? Okay I have a story for you dear readers. I will try not to be too descriptive because I know that some of you read from work.

Yesterday was a pretty great hump day. I left work at 11:30 to head out to the lake with some friends. The weather was absolutely perfect for going out on my friends boat. We picked a quiet cove and listened to music and sunned for the afternoon. One of our friends was a late arrival so we had to take the boat to pick him up from the dock. When we got back to "our" cove, there were two jetskiis in it. We cruised on in, until we realized what the people on the jetskiis were doing... One jetski had been abandoned by its rider, and the two of them were riding the other jetski together. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!? Seriously... out in plain sight! Of course we all laughed and cheered when we saw them, and most likely killed the mood! Sorry jetskiers!

Weekend Recap

This past Saturday was my little sister's 21st birthday. We went up to UGA to spend the day celebrating with her and enjoying Athens. It was also the Twilight bike race. Here are some photos!Sisters

My Tempting Target Friday

I ran into Target during my lunch break to grab one thing... ONE THING. It was nearly impossible to get out of the store with only one item because of the incredibly cute things!! Everywhere I looked I found something else that I had to have. Here are a few of my temptations.

I am so thrilled to have 100 followers! It makes my day to see that people read my random scatterbrained posts! On to more scatterbrained posts...

If you would have asked me yesterday what mascara I could absolutely not live without, I would have told you Full N Soft by Mabelline. I have been using the stuff for years and I was in love with it... until last night. Dare I say that I found something much better? Could I also say that its cheaper than $7? Yes, I'm serious!

Maybe I am late on the band wagon (many people have probably purchased this before me) but Covergirl Lash Blast is probably the best mascara ever. Had I known about this before my wedding, I never would have worn false lashes. The stuff makes your lashes super full and long which is awesome. Also great, is that I didnt have raccoon eyes when I washed my face last night. It came off clean. It comes in regular, waterproof, and luxe that shimmers. I'm a smitten kitten!

Warm Weather Has Arrived!

The weather is finally warmer and that excites me for various reasons!

1. Its Flip Flop weather!!! Sweet Tea Diaries is doing an AWESOME give away with an LL Bean Boat and Tote Bag and a pair of LL Bean Flip Flops, YOUR CHOICE! I'm a sucker for these watermelon ones because it reminds me of being little. For some reason my mom had a fascination with dressing my sister and me in watermelon attire. I still have no idea why we always matched, but we looked pretty cute doing it! These kind of bring me back to my childhood!

2. DRESSES! I have been a dress girl since way back in my watermelon days! I got these two SUPER cute dresses from Chadwicks.com. I used a coupon code and got both for 39 dollars plus shipping! How great of a bargain is that!?

3. Cold Water! I drink about four 20 ounce glasses of water per day. It sits on my desk in my sweet tervis tumbler and I chug- a- lug. My company gets Fontis Mountain Spring Water and its simply the best. It comes from a spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains so it isn't glorified tap water like Dasani and other brands. I heart fontis so much that I have it delivered to my house too! Try it, its the best!








4. Good food! I can seriously make a meal out of dips. Dips with chips, bread, fruit, it doesn't matter! This past weekend at the festival I was at, I found a vendor with the greatest stuff ever!!! It is packs of spices or ingredients that you add to simple things in your fridge like cream cheese or olive oil. They are called Spicy Chicks and they have a TON of different varieties and they are so cheap. I was sold when they told me I could use the sweet ingredients to frost cupcakes. I have such a weakness for cupcakes!! I will give a review when I make them! I also made shrimp scampi out of one of the seasoning packs... easy and oh so good!

6 Month Anniversary

With all of the festival hooplah, I didnt get to post over the weekend. This past saturday was my 6 month anniversary and I wanted to post a few of my favorite photos to remember the day. Enjoy!

Is it really friday?

Because it seems like a Tuesday to me. I'm definitely not complaining though. Tomorrow is my very first festival. It will probably make or break if I ever do another one! Lately my house has been in shambles with craft supplies and projects.
This is just my kitchen table, but the rest of the house looks just like it! Of course while it was a disaster, we received a call about a house showing. Needless to say, it took a lot of cleaning to get it show ready!

This time last year...

Around this time last year I was in New York City with a group of girl friends. We had a blast shopping and touring the city. The highlight of the trip was going to the Awesome 80's prom. My sister in law secretly planned it to be an impromptu bachelorette party for me, because bachelorettes receive special treatment. ( I have a pretty great S.I.L.)


If you have never been to the awesome 80's prom in NYC, then you should! Basically you show up dressed in your craziest 80's prom dress and you are surrounded by scenes from your favorite 80's movies! There were characters from The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink, plus the teachers walking around with rulers, bratty cheerleaders, jocks, nerds... it was great! Here are some of our fun pics!
