Knocked Up Honesty: Boobs 101

Warning:: This post may be TMI for some of my readers... *cough cough* you know who you are!

There was a day, when I was obsessed with having bigger boobs. In high school my BFF and I would wear two bras so that we had better cleavage. (I know, how sad that we were worried about that in high school!) But our little trick worked and it made us feel cool. Dont judge!

Sadly, she passed me up in that department shortly after we graduated. I hated her for it.
Not really... okay really!

My desire for bigger boobs did not go away though. I was the least well endowed in my family. I thought I was a genetic fluke or something. My mom kept telling me "wait until you have kids, they will come!" I thought that was some sort of motherly advice like "you're beautiful the way you are!"

Well, low and behold! I have boobs and they're out of CONTROL! My right one could possibly have its own zip code! They pour out of my shirts that previously were not "boob shirts." I'm liking the new additions, but sometimes its just nuts!

When I first got pregnant I went out and bought 3 new bras so that I would have a little more room. Well those beauties are now being put to rest... After arriving at work this morning I felt claustrophobic and I couldnt figure out why? Ever have that feeling? Like you just cant breathe for some reason? Well, it turns out that my lady friends needed more room. Im embarassed to say, I unhooked my bra at 7:45 Am! How sad! But I feel so much better!

Is this a normal occurrence for having big boobs? Is this the consequence of my years of wishing to be better endowed? Can a better bra help my situation? Ladies with big tatas, I need your advice!

  1. I'm only 20 and I have always had big boobs! I hate them but love them at the same time! I' passed up a DD a LONG time ago! i have to find my bras online I shop at woman within and one stop plus! You can also go to just her size and they have TONS of bras on there! Mine are always fallin' out of my shirt! or you get that buldge under your t-shirt that makes you look like you have 4 boobs! Ever get that?
Well hope you have some success finding a good bra! :)

  2. I too always wished for some larger girls. I LOVED my boobs when I was pregnant and nursing! I cannot tell you how sad I was when Little T stopped nursing (granted he was 18 months old). I think I was trying to keep the girls for as long as possible, knowing that we would not be having any more kids. I have even thought about implants and still may get them someday. We'll see!

Good luck with the bra delimma. I ended up a 38 D when I was nursing (normally a 36A/B).

  3. This happened to me too, but my left one is the bigger one! Ha-Ha! I like it so far, but I agree, sometimes they are uncomfortable especially when bras don't fit right.

  5. I had good size boobs before I got pg (34C) and loved the size. I HATE my boobs now more than anything! They are now at a 34DD & I refuse to wear anything but sports bras so I can mash them down a bit or else I can't wear anything without looking like a porn star. When I was pg I remember having to undo my bra throughout the day because I couldn't breathe so I remember how you feel! Even a bigger bra won't do much for that.

  6. Haha, you crack me up. Well, I am naturally "well endowed", and I guess I've never known any different (well, post-10th grade anyway... late bloomer). But, a good bra definitely helps. I can sort of fit in a Victoria's Secret 34DD, but when I went to the Intimacy Boutique, they put me in a... wait for it... 30F! HAHAHAHA! Um, yeah. So, since you are tiny, you might have to go to a specialty store to get something with small enough rib measurement but big enough cups. It definitely makes a difference. However, I will say, do not go there if you are modest, because they don't measure you like they do at VS. You stand there in all your topless glory, they assess your boobage, and then go grab bras. Those ladies know their tatas! :)

  10. OMG that picture is so funny.

I wish I could tell you that feeling will go away but, honestly it didn't for me. Invest in a good thin strapped sports bra, and just wear those. Once I got bigger on top the bra's were just so cumbersome I always had that feeling. I started sleeping in them in my third trimester and even nursing in them. Now 16m later my boobs didn't "go away" like I thought they would. It's a blessing and a curse. But the cleavage sure does rock. : )

  12. I started getting a "big girl body" at around age 8! I was wearing a bra by ten...and I loved it. I was so proud. Then, everything stopped growing. Such dissapointment! The early development was just a tease! It was like I got the body of a teenager and then everything just quit. I can still wear clothing from 7th grade and I'm 25. I am very envious of your big growth spurt in the boob department :-D
